Last weekend while in Austin, we discovered a state park that we had not been to before – McKinney Falls State Park.
We hiked to both the lower and upper falls, only to discover there wasn’t much falling. With the drought conditions of the last few years, the rock formations that at one time had been covered with running water, were nothing more than interesting rock formations.
As we drove around, one thing we did see that caught our attention was a field of wildflowers. I hope to go back at another time when the falls are flowing, but for now…
