Deep in the heart of Texas lies a bridge. One of eight remaining suspension bridges in Texas, according to TexasEscapes.com.
After discovering it on the above mentioned site (one that I use often when researching places to go on hunts for something new and interesting), I knew we had to find it.
And we did!
Supposedly it is possible to drive over it. There was NO WAY I was going to do that!
So we parked and walked – and even at that, it was just a little eery. Feeling the sway of the old wooden bridge and the wood under our feet that had holes here and there looking down at the Colorado River, confirmed there was no way I could take a vehicle over it.
We walked the entire length and then returned.
Praying the entire time!
