That is about all that was remaining from this old home…walls.
Saturday my dear friend and fellow photographer and I took a drive west. She had never been to Mineral Wells to see the old Baker Hotel, so that was our mission for the day. We accomplished that mission.
On our way back, we took back roads. There is something that goes beyond the thrill to me, to drive country roads. The thrill comes from treasure hunting.
No, not gold or silver, money or jewels. The treasure comes in the unexpected finds on these small roads winding through the countryside. This particular day did not disappoint!
One of the treasures discovered was an old home left in ruins. It belonged to a family at one time. Who knows what that family’s life was like or how many people lived in the small house.
If only the walls could talk!
