The Second Day of Christmas

In February of this year, we had the opportunity to meet our share-granddaughter for the first time. What is a share-granddaughter?

Well, when Son was a young child, he had a 13-year-old girl babysit him one day. That young girl’s parents were good friends of ours and she became like an ‘adopted’ daughter to us. She spent many, many hours at our home and traveled many miles in our backseat. Seeing that her parents were very much a part of her life and we didn’t really adopt her, but rather shared her with her parents, we refer to her as our share-daughter.

She is all grown now and has a family of her own. And her precious little girl came into our lives just this year. I love that kid!
